The Nudge is a fantastic website which sends a weekly email of the latest things to do in London. As it says in its byline, The Nudge gives you access to 'new launches, exclusive invitations, secret goings-on ridiculous competitions and insider perks'. Most of the time I don't pay that much attention, but when Model Market popped up, I just knew that a visit was imminent.
Model Market runs every Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 1am. It can be found a 5 minute walk from Lewisham station. As per their website, Model Market is an abandoned 1950s indoor and outdoor market breathing new life, light and vibes. As you would expect there is an amazing range of eateries from Indian Street Food to Brisket and ribs. Drink options are a plenty.
When we arrived at 8pm there was an almighty queue. I've never had to queue for a market before, and after a long day at school, it wasn't exactly top of my list of things to do, but we stayed nonetheless. Luckily, the queue moved pretty quickly and in no time at all we found ourselves in the heaven which is Model Market.
As with all market posts, they're much better told through photos. Super annoyingly, I had been convinced that I'd packed my camera that morning, but no, I hadn't, so grainy old android photos had to make do.
I had my first try of pork buns - why, oh why, have these babies not featured in my life before? What a waste!
Ana fancied Indian street food which were the hottest things I've ever tried in my life. You know when you get chilli on the end of your tongue and lips and can't close your moth because of the burn? No, that's just me then.
I love that Ana barely moves when the fire flairs - such a brave woman!
To end: I enjoy 90% of things that I blog about (the one's I don't, I'm honest about in my posts), but if you take any of my recommendations ever, please let Model Market be it. It was one the best evenings I've ever had, and on a balmy, Summer evening there's nowhere else I'd rather be.
Model Market can be found at 196 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6LS. See their website here, follow them @StreetFeastLDN
jajajajaja the last picture is just too funny!! Perhaps you too are overreacting, or perhaps I was so concentrated on looking good on at least one picture for your blog that I didn't mind to get my face burnt. I will have to try harder, though..

You're being far too harsh! I love every single picture of you that features on the blog! I love the fact that people actually walk past us in that gif and you barely move an inch.
